Special Meeting January 3, 2005 – 5:30 P.M. The West Burlington City Council met in Special Session at 122 Broadway Street with Mayor Trousil presiding. Council Members Crowner, Raleigh, Johnson, Pilger and Lees were present. City Administrator Gregg Mandsager, Police Chief Alex Oblein, Public Works Director Randy Fry, Finance Officer Leslie Sattler were also present. Mayor Trousil asked that the agenda be amended by removing item number one "Street Issues" and item two "Gear Ave. Trail Project" under the work session and add item three "Set Dates for Budget Work Sessions". The work session to discuss "Street Issues" and "Gear Ave. Trail Project" was rescheduled for January 17th at 5:30 p.m. Pilger made a motion, second by Lees, to approve the agenda as amended for the January 3, 2005 Council meeting. Roll call vote. Raleigh, Johnson, Lees, Pilger, Crowner voted aye. Motion carried.

    WORK SESSION:

    SET DATES FOR BUDGET WORK SESSIONS – Council agreed to hold Budget Work Sessions on Monday evenings beginning January 24th following the City Council meeting.

    CITIZEN’S INQUIRIES – There were no citizen inquiries.

    CLOSED SESSION:

    Closed Session – Union Contract Negotiations 5:35 p.m. – Lees made a motion, second by Pilger, to go into closed session with Iowa Code Section 21.5 (c). Roll call vote. Johnson, Pilger, Lees, Crowner, and Raleigh voted aye. Motion carried. Closed Session ended at 6:10 p.m.

    ADJOURN - There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m. upon motion by Pilger, and second by Lees. Voice Vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.
