Special Council Meeting May 20, 2002 – 5:30 P.M.
The West Burlington City Council met in Special Session at 118 W. Wheeler Street with Mayor Trousil presiding. Council Members Crowner, Hockett, and Lees were present. Johnson and Pilger were absent. City Administrator Mandsager was present. Lees moved, second by Hockett, to approve the Agenda as presented. Voice vote. All ayes. Motion carried.NEW BUSINESS:
Consider Resolution Amending the Budget for Fiscal Year 2002
– City Clerk Simonson explained a Budget Amendment is only necessary when expenditures in a program exceeds the amount budgeted. The Budget for Fiscal Year 2002 needs to be amended because capital projects were completed in a program where they were not budgeted; and some budgeted capital projects were not done or are under budget. The overall budget amount will not change.Lees moved, second by Crowner, to approve a Resolution approving the amendment of the current City Budget. Roll call. Ayes: Lees, Hockett and Crowner. Nays: None. Motion carried.

– There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:37 p.m. upon motion by Lees, and second by Johnson. Voice Vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.
